Spiritual Social Action

The aim of the Spiritual Social Action Program is:

“To engage the congregation in connecting with members of the community through events and projects to assist those in need, and to offer opportunities for spiritual growth.”

The Unity of Omaha Spiritual Social Action Program selects special service projects open to the entire congregation throughout the year. Other projects are active on an ongoing basis. We attempt to balance efforts between local, national and international areas, age specific areas, gender areas, traditional projects and exploring new avenues. We try to support organizations with a structure in place to preclude starting from scratch and to better utilize our resources.

Pantry Donations — Donations always appreciated

Nonperishable food, paper products, cleaning supplies and personal care items are collected in the wire baskets in the café to stock the Little Free Pantry located on our campus.

Women’s Jail Ministry — Pottawattamie County Jail
