Monday, June 30th - Leadership Team Meeting

At 7:00 p.m. there will be a Unity Church of Omaha, Leadership Team Meeting in the Cafe from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. If you serve as a Team leader in one of the many Ministry Teams that make up our church, it is very important that you, or a representative from your team, attend this meeting. Exciting things are happening and we will be making some important decisions on how we are moving forward in fulfilling our church's mission.
Thank you team leaders, for all that you do!

Sunday, Juy 13th - Welcoming/Greeters Team Training

We are on our way! Our first Welcoming/Greeters Team training is scheduled for July 13. We will begin after the service, about 12:00, with a lunch in the social hall. Training time will be from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

You haven’t signed on yet? A sign-up sheet is available on the table just outside the Sanctuary. You can also contact Joan Costello at twerpjoan@yahoo.com or 933-4964. Being part of this team will be a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate a welcoming and loving contact with newcomers, as well as our own regular attendees.

A Life of Prayer

Beginning Sunday, June 1st Sunday’s 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

5-week Unity Institute Spiritual Education and Enrichment (S.E.E.) Credit Course
Shari Sterenberg, Licensed Unity Teacher

As a student, you’ll develop a daily prayer journal and create a prayer credo – a personal statement of your beliefs about prayer. And when you finish the course, you’ll be able to:

Practice Centering Prayer as a means to “enter the silence.”
Compare and contrast traditional prayer methods with the Unity method of affirmative prayer and with your own way of praying.
Write a Daily Word® message.

Describe the principles of Truth that govern the prayer process according to Unity – and apply them in your life.

Mastering Life’s Energies: Living a Life Filled With Luminous Moments

Book Study - Tuesdays 7-9p.m. June 10 – July 15

We all yearn to take ideas that excite us and accomplish them through action. We know, on some level, that the ideas we find the most exhilarating are an essential part of us, in a very real way, they are us. Luminous moments occur when you generate something important from inside yourself and make it real in the physical world. Our lives are shaped by the questions that interest us.

What is the question to which your life is the answer?
Are you willing to live your life with clarity, focus, ease and grace?

In this book study, you will learn to achieve clarity, strengthen focus, enjoy ease, and cultivate grace. You need only bring with you a desire to identify and attain your dreams and goals---along with pen, paper, and a few three-by-five cards.

Cost: Suggested Love Offering--$14.00 per session. Each participant needs a copy of Mastering Life’s Energies by Maria Nemeth. The book is available from the Many Paths Bookstore, Unity Church of Omaha.

Kowal PhD, ACC is a certified life and organizational coach as well as a licensed seminar leader. Her coaching training is through the Academy for Coaching Excellence, Sacramento, CA, accredited through the International Coach Federation. Penny was mentored by Dr. Maria Nemeth as well as Rev Beth Ann Suggs and Rev Wayne Manning.

"Dis-ease" is an organ or part of the body vibrating out of tune or non-harmoniously being a reflection of disharmony between the physical personality and the soul. Through sound and light one can break up, dissolve and release these blockages that initiate in our light or "etheric" body, promoting health and happiness.
